Carers and Family

In July 2017, The Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry (3DN) launched a new e-Learning resource for carers on intellectual disability mental health. The evidence‐based courses reflect clinical best practice, and were written with advice and input from carers. These courses allow carers to learn about mental health and intellectual disability at their own pace. The courses provide information about what to do if a carer thinks the person they care for needs help, and aim to assist carers to communicate with health professionals.

The free carers e-learning courses can be accessed at idhealtheducation.mygo1.com after a quick registration. After registering for an account, select “Carers and Family” on the home page to enrol in the available courses.
